An Architecture for a Multiple Digital-Signal Processor Based Music Synthesizer with Dynamic Voice Allocation

This paper will outline a multiple digital signal processor (DSP) based music synthesizer with dynamic voice allocation. It will cover system hardware, software architecture, and DSP features. It will include a reflection on the underlying problems which needed to be solved to accomplish this task. Also discussed is an overview of the system design that was chosen to solve these problems. Finally, the system hardware, system software, and DSP interaction necessary to implement the dynamic voice allocation are discussed.
