A Monitor System Based on Wave Synthesis

Many horn-array design programs use the power summation method to combine the output of individual horns. This method can mask significant lobes and nulls that are due to the horns' complex directivity response and to their physical displacement in 3-dimensional space. The convolutional method yields improved predictions and does not suffer the phase measurement difficulties, database expansion, and computational intensity of the full complex data approach.
