4-Canal Headphone for In-Front Localization and HDTV- or Dolby-Surround Use
The paper reports on an optimized four-canal headphone which is based on previously published technical solutions. Apart from natural psychoacoustic effects, such as distance perception and a frontol sound image, the headphone offers the capability of reproducing loudspeaker-compatible spatial hearing. It is now possible, for the first time, to listen to HDTV or Dolby Surround via headphone.
