Nonlinear Effects in AF-Amplifiers Caused by Thermal Power Feedback

In transistor audio-amplifiers distortion appears, which cannot be explained by pure electrical phenomena. Because the electrical properties of a transistor are also temperature dependent, flucutations of the power dissipation lead to fluctuations of the junction-temperature. This thermally effected power dependent internal feedback (TPF) causes additional distortion dependent on the frequencies and the amplitudes of the driving signal.
