AES E-Library
A Microcontroller-Driven Sound Dynamics Processor
A microcontroller-driven analog sound processor is presented. The dual-channel processor combines gating, limiting, compressing, and de-essing functions in a cost-effective manner. Channels can be linked for stereo operation. Parameters of the dynamic processing for both channels are programmable and different setups can be stored in nonvolatile memory. The processor can be programmed and the parameters sent via MIDI and RS-232 interfaces.
