Computers on Tour

The results of several years of the author's on-the-road experience with computer-linked equalizers, power amplifiers, mixing console mute groups, and other audio components are discussed in the paper. -Thinking Forward- is presented as being a key to system design. When designing advanced systems, taking chances with new equipment or new control methods is often necessary and knowing what you want is important. For instance, not every setting may change that much, but the ability to recall a previous setting can be very useful. Backup systems become crucial.
