Partitioning of Functions in Systems and Products
Advances in technology have made it possible to design products that allow us to partition audio system functions in new ways. A product group model is presented to add insight to the process. The partitioning of functions is shown to have an impact on the nature of computer control required, allowing for cost-effective design of the control network. The design of cost-effective control systems becomes less of an issue once digital audio transmission is employed on the same network.
