Inter-Networkability: A Look into Some of the Problems for Multi-Technology Control Systems
Almost every day we encounter new terminology heralding the arrival of the wired universe. The audio industry, being somewhat more presentation oriented than many other disciplines involved in this multi-industry process, is in the final stages of developing a unique and progessive network standard. This standard can serve as a guide to and model for managing standard initiatives in other presentation-focused fields. However, we must be mindful of wider more entrenched network standards so that our efforts accelerate rather than hinder the realization of the fully connected work - a work which we hope would be on-line, interactive, meaningful, and ultimately a useful place.
