Multimedia Workstation Editing: -Change Your Mind Without Losing It-

The rapid developments in digital signal processing and recording, for both video and audio, have led to the introduction of new disk-based editing techniques. Not only does the editor have greater flexibility and control over the editing process but efficiency improvements and cost savings can be made compared with traditional tape editing. Improvements in video compression techniques now give a picture quality which is on the verge of being suitable for broadcasting. These editing workstations which process audio, video, graphics and captions are undoubtedly the first stage of future integrated multimedia production environments.
