A Monolithic Dual Switch for Professional Audio Applications
A dual single-chip electronic switch is described, which was specifically designed for audio applications. A T switch configuration provides 120 dB of OFF isolation, while an actively driven JFET yields 0.002% harmonic distortion, even when driving a 5-k ohm load. Internal ramp circuitry provides guaranteed break-before-make action together with negligible charge injection (50 pC). In addition, protection circuitry prevents breakthrough when the signal-handling capability of the switch is accidentally exceeded.
