Behavior of Loudspeaker Sound in Autotunnels
To investigate the possibilities creating an emergency soundsystem in an autotunnel sound measurements are made concerning the decrease with distance of an overhead system, long throw horns and an omnidirectional point source. The measured values indicate that just a part of the tunnel is for a loudspeaker the effective volume and the rest is coupled space. AZ property like that gives possibilities to address intelligible speech over a long distance in an acoustically untreated tunnel with just a few loudspeakers.
