Minimum Requirements for Audio Systems in Theatre Control Rooms-Some Experiences in Krefeld Theater, Germany
A theater control room for drama, opera and musicals must have an audio system with minimum requirements. As an example, the new control room of the local theatre in Krefeld (population of approx. 250,000) will be described. The sound system has many special features, such as mixing desk, multi-channel recording, more than 20 loudspeaker lines, patchfields and recording facilities. Requirements, standards and costs will be discussed.
