Methods of Local Room Equalization and Their Effect Over the Listening Area

The application of localised room equalization allows correction of the gross frequency response errors caused by the excitation of a listening room`s natural modes. The area over which equalization is effective is frequency dependent and simulations are included in an attempt to both identify this useful area and as a comparison of the performance of various types of room equalizer including multi-channel implementations.
