Efficient Loudspeaker Linear and Nonlinear Parameter Estimation

Assessment of a loudspeaker's performance requires an accurate measurement of both its linear and nonlinear parameters. This paper describes a practical system for estimating ( in a maximum likelihood sense) both of these sets of parameters. Unlike other methods for measuring these parameters, the technique described here requires a minimum of equipment, all of which is low cost and readily available. The measurement system is accurate and robust. Examples are shown and discussed.
