Design Considerations for Cinema Surround Loudspeakers
Despite recent advances in the perception of surround sound, little attention has been drawn to the speaker itself. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the special conditions and requirements for surround speakers and to propose a design goal. Measurements and subjective listening tests with three different types of surround speakers has been done in a multiple screen complex.
