Late Thoughts on the Implications of EC Directives

At this Conference, many of us have been introduced, almost for the first time, to the impact of mandatory compliance with standards. Compliance is just as mandatory (even more so?) if your customer demands it, as if the Government of the country in which you are marketing enforces the relevant Directive, either at the border or at the point-of-sale.
