A Graphic Method for Choosing and Aiming Loudspeakers for Reinforcement

A simple transparent template laid over an architectural plan drawing shows required angular coverage, loudspeaker aim angles, and variations of sound pressure level due to distance. Then, after a tentative choice of loudspeakers and aiming, the resulting relative sound pressure levels at various seats may be plotted quickly if the dispersion characteristics of the loudspeakers are known.
