Effects of Receiver Design and Transmission Impairments on Audio Signal Quality in the BTSC System for Multichannel Television Sound

The nature, causes, and magnitudes of various audio signal defects in the BTSC system for television multichannel sound are summarized with consideration to FCC standards. EIA recommended practices for transmitters, receiver design, and various impairments incurred in over-the-air broadcasting and in cable television distribution systems.
