Active Realization of Multiway All-Pass Crossover Systems

A simple procedure is given for constructing multiway active all-pass crossover systems from known two-way alignments. The multiway crossover is realized as a binary tree of two-way crossover pairs with additional phase-compensating sections. Phase and group delays of the multiway summed output are found as the sum of the phase and group delays of the component two-ways. Conditions under which the additional phase-compensating sections can be deleted are examined. Finally, a subtractive form of the multiway all-pass crossover is given.
