The small-signal characteristics of feedback amplifiers using common emitter (CE) and common collector (CC) configurations are discussed. It is shown that while most of the closed-loop characteristics are the same, the stability of the CC system is generally superior to that of the CE system (contrary to the Cherry and Cambrell [1].
