On Intermodulation and Harmonic Distortion in Single-Amplifier Active Filters
The harmonic and intermoduloation distortion analysis in single-amplifier active filters using the Volterra-Wiener series approach (a short version) is presented. For the detailed derivation of the expressions given here, the interested reader is referred elsewhere. The changes of the intermodulation and harmonic distortion factors of the second and third order of the filter in comparison with the analogous factors of the active element used in its construction are discussed. Two configurations of the filter, namely, the negative feedback circuit and the positive feedback circuit, are taken into account as examples.
