Several methods are evaluated for error compensation of dropout on digital audio recorder by means of computer simulation. For a consumer use system, the effect of several interpolation methods is discussed. As for a professional use system, several error correcting methods used code theory are compared, i.e., Iwadare code, b-Adjacent code, Double writing method, CRC code, their combination, and newly developed Cross Word code.
