Unified Instrumentation and Design of Speech Reinforcement Systems
An equation stating Articulation Loss of Consonants as a function of SPL direct, SPL reverberant, SPL noise, RT 60 is presented. The equation is a base for both instrumentation and design of speech reinforcement systems. This common base facilitates quantitative evaluation of system performance by allowing direct measurement of the design parameters in both new and existing systems.
