QFMX-Quadruplex FM Transmission Using the 4-4-4 QMX Matrix System
For FM quadruplex transmission, the QMX matrix provides mono-stereo compatibility with 4-2-4 (BFMX), 4-3-4 (TFMX), and 4-4-4 (QFMX) options. The channels of TFMX occupy frequency bands identical with those for present stereo multiplex. The fourth (Q) channel may, with negligible psychoacoustic consequence, be omitted to accommodate a subsidiary communications (SCA) channel.
