A series of listening tests conducted by Panel 6 of the National Quadraphonic Radio Committee (NQRC) measured auditors' preferences for music reproduced by 4-4-4, 4-3-4, and 4-2-4 quadraphonic encode/decode systems. These quadraphonic systems are ranked in terms of auditor preference. This ranking correlates closely with the ranking based on localization tests as reported in Part 1.
