The Choice of a Matrix for Quadraphonic Reproduction from Disk Records
A quadraphonic programme on a disk record with two 20kHz channels must be encoded according to a particular set of matrix equations. A subjective weighting can be given to effects produced by different well-known matrixes and combinations thereof in the light of modern recording practice. The paper lists and discusses opinions formed as a result of such tests.
