AES E-Library
A Versatile, High-Speed, -Off-Line- Sweetening System for Television Audio Post Production
This paper will describe the overall concept of this unique method of final audio mixing for network television programs. This -double-system- approach (using coincidental SMPTE time code on an 8-channel audio recorder with -work-print- picture information from a one-inch videotape unit) allows greatly improved freedom for the production staff. Equipment, personnel and step-by-step procedures will be discussed in detail.
