A Tape Time (Position) Locator Using Microprocessor Technology

Document Thumbnail

The logic functions for a tape time (position) locator with keyboard entry, nine position memory, shift and clear functions, plus digital display of both tape running time and the desired location time requires the use of over 100 conventional IC's. By using the manipulative power of a microprocessor (CPU) with appropriate memory (RAM and ROM) the logic device count is reduced to less than 10.
