Document Thumbnail

This study investigates the requirements for six-degrees-of-freedom (6DoF) audio service and 6DoF audio meta-data to establish the description method of 6DoF audio metadata in order to produce 6DoF audio content for immersive media. To this end, three examinations are conducted: a questionnaire-based survey of content cre-ators on 6DoF content production, a survey of audio production in 6DoF games, and a study of the 6DoF audio production work?ow. Subsequently, using the results of the aforementioned each examination, the obtained 6DoF audio metadata requirements are categorized into two types: those for acoustic space design and those for direc-tion.
