Closing the Wireless Versus Wired Microphone Dependability Gap
A new very-high-frequency wireless microphone system with substantial improvement in range, versatility, and reliability is described. Fading, noise, interference, and distortion are eliminated. The transmitter employs fast low-distortion audio limiting. The receiver features a dual gate MOS FET front end for low cross modulation and 0.5-µV sensitivity. Noise activated squelch improves fade margin by 18 dB.
