When telephone conversations have to be emitted in radio and television programs, it is necessary that the level of the voice from outside be the same as the level of the speaker's voice in the studio. For this purpose the voice from outside is isolated from the line signal and after amplification mixed with the studio signal. Specific problems about obtaining high rejections, minimum frequency distortion, and minimum setup times are discussed.
