Sources of the Constant Volume Velocity and Their Use for Acoustic Measurements

The source of a constant velocity is an analogy of the source of a constant electric current. Both the source of a constant current and its acoustic analogy can be utilized well for measuring purposes. Their use for the rapid measurements of resistors and impedances proves most advantageous. The sources of a constant and known volume velocity can now be constructed so that they make it possible to reach a relatively high accuracy of measurements. An accurate source of the constant and known volume velocity may be a useful tool in frequent laboratory work, which can be utilized more widely than only for measuring impedances.
