This article is concerned with ways and means of utilizing the research and development in audio engineering for the consumer`s benefit: the design and implementation of manufacturing facilities to employ the best developments in prerecorded music at reasonable costs, quality and delivery. Although no ultimate in manufacturing techniques are described here, the approaches describe some common elements in mass-production requirements.
