Transmission Lines in Studios

Document Thumbnail

The telephone company has long provided point-to-point program circuits to the studios for off-premise transfer of broadcast program material. This paper is concerned with the on-premise distribution cable within the studio complex prior to joining off-premise telephone facilities and interface equipment. The term distribution cable, is used here to designate the usual paired-wire transmission mediums of inter-communicating circuits between rooms, lots or buildings on continuous studio property. The bandwidth of interest includes the frequencies between 10 and 20,000 Hertz.
