A Re-Evaluation of Some Methods of Measuring Distortion

Document Thumbnail

-Distortion,- as used in this paper, will refer to some form of behavior that results in the generation of spurious components in the output, essentially due to some form of nonlinearity in the input/output transfer characteristics. Within this definition, failure to reproduce the frequency content in strict proportion is not distortion, although frequency response may have some influence on the effect of distortions we shall discuss.
