The Electronics of Nervous Transmission

Document Thumbnail

Although the transmission of signals along nerve tissue is believed to be primarily chemical in nature, it is accompanied by electrical phenomena which have been studied on individual nerve cells for some time. This work describes some experiments recently conducted in the study of electro-anesthesia which appears to shed some new light on the inter-relationships between the electrical and chemical phenomena.
