The Brandeis University Electronic Music Studio opened late in 1961. Initial facilities included tape recorders, audio generators, a bandpass filter, an oscilloscope and a frequency counter. Since then much new equipment has been added. This paper evaluates the devices available in the studio with respect to their relative value to the composer, and the advantages and disadvantages of the various design techniques employed.
