A Calculator Program for Predicting Sound System Performance

Document Thumbnail

The author presents a program written for hand-held programmable calculators which employs readily available base data and computes the most relevant performance criteria for supplied equipment in a given acoustic space. The author also presents a technique wherein the affects of occupancy may be used to establish the minimum occupancy required to render a marginally performing sound system effective in an otherwise unsatisfactory setting.
