For many years, Altec Lansing has published Tech Letters with equations, graphs, and nomograms. As they became available, it has published keystroke sequences and programs for tabletop and handheld calculators. In 1981 Altec began supplying product performance data and applications techniques via HP-41 readable magnetic cards and barcodes. This project, and its benefits to users of sound products, is described.
