Sound Reinforcement System with Correct Localization Image in a Big Congress Centre

The International Congress Centre Berlin (ICC) has 80 halls and rooms for conventions including two major multipurpose halls. The volume of the electroacoustical equipment is about 25 million DM. The big hall, with 5000 seats, serves a wide variety of events from congresses to concerts, operas, and shows. This hall has a decentral sound reinforcement system. The principal for the correct sound transmission for sound sources on the stage as well as speakers from the auditorium is discussed. The realization and special methods of adjustment of such a complex system are described.
