With the advent of the time-energy-frequency analysis method and specifically the Crown Tecron system, it is possible to review the three basic sound fields existing in medium-to-large acoustical environments. This engineering report is a review of two case studies of medium-size facilities where the Tecron System 10 was used to equalize the system by employing the direct-signal response only. A summary of problems, and objective and subjective response for owners and testing personnel is included.
