An improved effect of realism can be obtained from disc reproduction through the use of a special dynamic control amplifier stage which is capable of increasing the dynamic range and reducing the inherent record-hiss noise level. This special stage employs a pentode operated with positive bias on the suppressor and negative bias on the screen. A demonstration followed presentation of the paper.
