Per had his MSc in Electrical Engineering in 1982 and a PhD in Applied Acoustics in 2003. After receiving his masters degree, Per worked as an acoustic consultant in parallel to his work as an acoustic researcher. The research work was about active noise control, in particular adaptive controllers for multichannel, harmonic control. In addition, work was done on finding optimal positions for secondary sources and sensors.
Since the mid 80's, Per has been a professional recording engineer doing on-site recordings of orchestras, chamber ensembles and choirs, as well as studio recordings of jazz and world music. He has a large interest in high quality recordings in surround and 3D and is currently using a Ravenna-based recording system with capabilities of very high sampling rates (384 kHz/32 bit PCM).
Per has been teaching in acoustics and electro acoustics for many years and his goal is to develop an education in audio engineering at the masters level in Sweden. He has written extensive educational material in acoustics and electro-acoustics.
MSc in Electrical Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology in 1982.
PhD in Applied Acoustics/Signal Processing at Chalmers University of Technology/Blekinge University of Technology, 2003.
