About
In 2010 I finished my 41-year career as an educator and researcher on acoustics at TU Delft, The Netherlands. My specialisms were architectural acoustics and surround sound reproduction. I was strongly involved in the development and application of the Wave Field Synthesis concept.
Since 2011, I'm a part-time Guest Professor at RWTH aachen University, Germany, where I'm involved in the development of new and better methods for room acoustics modeling.
In 2009/2010, I had the pleasure and honour to be the President of the AES.
As a form of applied acoustics I play the double bass in various ensembles
