About

At the end of this year I'll finish my 41-year career as an educator and researcher on acoustics at TU Delft, The Netherlands. My specialisms are architectural acoustics and surround sound reproduction. I was strongly involved in the development and application of the Wave Field Synthesis concept.

This year, I have the pleasure and honour to be the President of the AES.

As a form of applied acoustics I play the double bass in various ensembles
