President of the Audio Engineering Society from October 2014 thru October 2015, Andres is a 2 times Grammy-winning Audio Engineer and producer with 20+ years of experience. He boasts credits in more than 2,000 titles released on vinyl, CD, DVD, Blu-Ray and/or Web. Andres runs his own mastering facility with stereo and surround capability, working for artists from Latin America, the US, Spain, France, Germany and many other parts of the world. Andres served as VP Latin America from 2005 thru 2009, later became Co-Chair of the Technical Committee for Recording Technology and Practices, and also judged at the latest AES International Recording Competitions in London, New York, San Francisco, Vienna, Paris, Munich and Budapest.

AES Awards

In 2009, Andres Mayo was presented with the AES Board of Governors Award in recognition of co-chairing the AES Latin American Conference in Buenos Aires in 2007.

In 2011, Andres Mayo was presented with the AES Citation Award in recognition of outstanding contributions to the Latin American Professional Audio Community.

Non-AES Awards & Award Nominations

As an engineer, Mayo won 6 Carlos Gardel Technical Excellence Awards in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013.
As a producer, he received 2 Grammys for his own independently produced 7-DVD + 7-CD Tango Collection named "Buenos Aires, Days and Nights of Tango".

Education Background

Mr. Mayo holds an academic degree with a major in Electronics Engineering at the National Technology University (U.T.N.) in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
