T13 - CHOOSING THE RIGHT SOUND REINFORCEMENT SYSTEM FOR THE VENUE

Presenters:
Terry Nelson, Switzerland
Marc de Fouquieres, Dispatch SA
Ben Kok, Consultant
David Norman, Consultant

Abstract:
Even though the world of sound reinforcement has advanced technically a lot over the last decade or so, equipment choices for installations, both fixed and mobile, are often dictated by fashion or "monkey see, monkey do," rather than by sound engineering decisions. ThIS tutorial aims to provide pointers and basics for specifying a sound reinforcement system that is appropriate for a particular venue or application in terms of desired performance and results.
