40th Conference Registration OpenAES 40th Conference Multichannel audio for surround loudspeaker setups is a common technology, and it is also being implemented in digital broadcasting. Recent research has looked at the reproduction of 3-D spatial audio for 3-D loudspeaker layouts and for headphone playback. However, some technological challenges still remain in capturing, coding, transmitting, and reproducing spatial audio. If you care about spatial audio and are involved in its various applications, you cannot afford to miss the AES 40th International Conference on Spatial Audio to be held October 8-10 in Tokyo. This conference, chaired by Toru Kamekawa and Kimio Hamasaki, will focus on the latest advances in spatial audio including techniques for conventional channel-based surround setups, object-based setups, and for binaural listening. You can now read about the technical program and then go ahead and register today.
