Mr. Johnston (usually referred to as jj) is an AES Governor and Fellow (as well as IEEE Fellow) who was a co-inventor of the so-called MP3 algorithm, and the primary inventor of MPEG-2 AAC.
He is currently retired, but maintains an interest in spatial perception, measurement, simulation, and modelling.
