The Effects of Spectators, Audiences, and Building on Sound System Performance

This paper describes how the performance of a sound system can be affected by the building`s occupants, particularly in terms of its intelligibility (STI) and frequency response. This paper also discusses some novel measurement techniques and presents the results of measurements made in an auditorium and 40 000-seat sports stadium.
