The paper discusses a new method to increase the listening zone and to overcome the place-sensitive reproduction of multichannel sound events. By means of the proposed patented method, the directional information of the individual sound signal sources remains constant as well as the ambient information in the surround channels produces a good involvement of the listener in the original ambience.
